Kendrick Lamar's 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers earns big praise amid first week of release

HE'S BACK! The world had been waiting on Kendrick Lamar to drop another album and he did not disappoint. The album, which dropped on May 13, 2022 is a musical masterpiece that cannot be fully comprehended within its first listen. It's thought provoking and emotion stirring to say the least. 'Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers' is a lyric heavy album that times in at around 75 minutes. The album hosts 18 tracks which vary in intensity, lyricism, and emotion.

For example, the intro track, "United in Grief." The song enters with a sweet introduction. Kendrick then begins crossing through deep tone of voice and chopped lyrics over production that takes listeners on a sonic adventure of panning and experimental sounds.

The next track is an immediate flip out of the somber and reflective first track. Lamar asks when you take all of the expensive things off, who are you? His response is that you're "ugly af." The song is smooth and progressive and is easily a showcase of his lyrical ability in a way even a non-intensive listener could appreciate.

The album so far has become the rapper's fourth album to go #1 on the Billboard 200. In addition, the album has been recognized as having the most first day streams for an album so far this year.

Tracks like "We Cry Together" "N95" and "Silent Hill" appear to be the most attention grabbing songs according to social media. Even NBA superstar Lebron James had to jump on Twitter to vibe to some of the new K DOT.

One user says, "Kendrick ain’t waste one bar on this album. This shit been on repeat. - @GoldxHaze"

Another user even went and designed a photo that names it as a part of the "Holy Trinity" of Kendrick Lamar albums released to date.

And the final tweet of the night folks! 😂
